College Entrance Exams

Did you know...

      • Every college will accept the ACT or SAT scores.
      • ACT allows you to choose which scores to send, SAT does not.
      • On the ACT there is no penalty for guessing.
      • If you are going to a 2-year school, you need neither the SAT nor the ACT. You will take the Compass or Asset test.

Pick the test that emphasizes your strengths.

See your guidance counselor for more information.

SAT and ACT Fee Waivers

SAT and ACT offer Fee waivers to help with the cost of their tests. If you meet the following requirements, please see your counselor to pick up this waiver. SAT/ACT Fee Waiver Requirements:

  1. Students must be in 11th or 12th grade to receive a waiver.
  2. Students must provide written documentation of eligibility for free/reduced lunch services.
  3. Students may only receive TWO waivers during their high school career. In the event that a student uses a waiver but does not actually take the test, he/she forfeits that waiver.
  4. Students may only receive one waiver at a time.
  5. FCHS receives a limited number of waivers. Students may obtain a waiver on a first come, first served basis.
