PSAT Administered on October 15

The Preliminary Scholastic Aptitude Test (PSAT) will be administered at Fayette County High School on Wednesday, October 15 during periods 1-3. All 10th grade students will take the PSAT free of change; however, any 9th or 11th grade student who would like to take the test can sign up. The cost for freshmen and juniors is $20 and registration will be held next week, September 29-October 3 in the guidance office. Juniors and freshmen may stop by guidance before school, between classes, or during lunch to register. PSAT scores are used for Advanced Placement class consideration and for juniors who would like to be considered for the National Merit Scholarship program. Any freshmen interested in AP World History or and Juniors interested in AP coursework or the National Merit Scholarship Program are encouraged to take the test.

Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY)

An opportunity for current sophomores at FCHS to further develop their leadership abilities. Through the HOBY seminar, students will have a chance to interact with groups of distinguished leaders in business, government, education, and other professions.
